MIRANDA THE PANDA

On an island off Japan, a
lovely panda named Miranda
Was chewin’ on a bamboo
shoot in June.
And to her delight, when she
blew instead of chewed,
Out came a crazy, catchy,
snappy, happy tune.
The ape heard the sound
and he came around
Joined in and played a
harmony on euphonium.
Then the elephant,
his trunk was neatly bent,
Trumpeted out a counter-
melody pandemonium.

Wah, wah, wah was the sound
Playin’ jungle music ‘till the
sun goes down
Wah, wah, wah, wah,
wah, wah
The parrot on the podium,
conducted pandemonium
Wah, wah, wah was the sound
All the creatures from the
jungle came from miles around
Pandemonium was made from
the tune Miranda played
On the day she blew the
bamboo shoot in June
(pandemonium)

The boa’s name was Mona,
she was hangin’ out at home, a
Simple twist and she became
a slide trombone.
The tiger to surprise her,
played the synthesizer,
And the chimpanzee he blew
the sassy, frassy, saxophone.
Now Leroy, the lion,
played the bass upon the vine.
Henrietta, the hyena, laughed
with glee “Hee hee hee hee.”
All the spotted frogs,
beat their feet on hollow logs.
And that made a funky, thumpy,
timpani (pandemonium)
